JOHN 6:68,
• More Light , chapter: Theosophy and pseudo-theosophy :
The pious of his time called the spiritual master from Nazareth a ‘glutton and a wine bibber’ for they could not understand that a man who was ‘from God’ thus would live with ‘sinners’ without despising the gifts of this earth.

They knew nothing of the fact that in him ‘the kingdom of heaven’ in which he spiritually lived, – had come into their presence, in the midst of this life on earth, and the recognition of Cephas-Peter was foreign to them: “Lord, to whom shall we go? – You have the words of life!”

“If I bear witness of myself, then my witness is true, for I know whence I come and whither I go; but ye know not whence I come or whither I go.” –

Even until today contemplation and belief will not comprehend him purely in his most unique essence, unless he who contemplates and believes knows “whence” the Master came and “whither” he went, – knows that here stands before him one of the “Luminaries of the First Light”, revered in wonder by his “brethren” until this very hour, as the greatest “Man of Love” among them, departed from their circle and returned to it, in order, in invisible form, not to leave the spiritual aura of the earth before the last human spirit, here living in the beast, has come into the light. –

JOHN 8:15,
• The Wisdom Of John , chapter: Portrait of the master.
Nothing that is human was foreign to him; he was very familiar with the struggle of man’s spiritual nature against the rebellious lusts of the beast in man. – “YE JUDGE ACCORDING TO THE APPEARANCE; I JUDGE NO MAN, FOR THE FATHER JUDGETH NO MAN.”

JOHN 8:23,
• The Wisdom Of John , chapter: Portrait of the Master. But he is not worried about being misunderstood when he knows that every explanation would not produce the understanding he seeks. –

In full consciousness of his special spiritual status among the men of his time he can declare with supreme authority: “YE ARE FROM BENEATH; I AM FROM ABOVE. YE ARE OF THIS WORLD; I AM NOT OF THIS WORLD.” Yet he also knew, like no one of those close to him, from where he got his elevated dignity, – knew of the many years of spiritual training, – knew of the bitter struggle within himself to which he finally owed the certainty enableing him now to speak and to teach ‘unlike the scribes.’– – –

The high mystery of his mission was known only to a few, and even those few failed to comprehend it, apart from the one he ‘loved’. Only this one knew of his Master’s spiritual growth and of the deepest foundation of his right to teach.
When after the Master’s death ‘the flock was scattered’ this disciple gathered around him those of like mind. He imparted his knowledge to those who proved themselves worthy of his teaching.

Work while it is day, the night cometh” – for all who have not worked while here on earth – “when no man can work” because he is for an incalculable time prey to that darkness which he had failed to escape during his time on earth on account of his lethargic self-satisfaction and the delusion that the conscious experience of his own value was riches enough for him to need me: – the essential light. – –

JOHN 12:44,
• The Wisdom Of John , chapter: The pure teaching.

JOHN 12:45,
• The Book Of Love , chapter: The redeeming light.
In every Luminary of the First Light is the ‘Father’, eternally continueing propagating his ‘son’, the Luminary, – in truth of one being with his light-filled nature, for whom the earthly body is but an external vehicle to effect on earth what needs the form of the earth for appearing in the life of a man of this earth! –

Thus the Master of Nazareth could say in truth to his pupils: “He who sees me, sees the Father”, – and “No man cometh unto the ‘Father’ except through me”: – through that which is life in me as the spiritually propagated ‘son’ of the ‘Father’…

I too, my good friend, cannot lead you to wakeful knowledge through awareness unless I lead you on the same path which the exalted Master of Nazareth taught us to walk after he changed himself into the ‘way’ and was permitted to say that he was ‘the way, the truth and the life’. – – –
Thus I intend to show you this path today and give you the light-filled teaching as to how you can, as soon as possible, follow the high path leading you to the gate to wakeful experience of yourself in the spirit.
